About the Event

KTHack 2025 will take place online through Discord, and will also have a hybrid option with in-person workshops at KTBYTE in Lexington. Our theme this year is "Social Impact", with sub-themes of "Educational", "Financial", and "Environmental". We want to see projects that help people, solve problems, and make the world a better place!

For Participants & Parents

1. When and where is the hackathon?
KTHack 2025 will take place on June 7-8, 2025. The format is virtual, with an option for hybrid workshops. This means that participants may complete the hackathon fully online, however, may also choose to come in person for our workshops at the KTBYTE Lexington office!
2. Who can participate?
Students in 7th-12th grade (ages 13-18) are eligible to participate.
3. What are the benefits of participating?
  • Gain coding experience by working on a real-world project
  • Meet like-minded peers and collaborate in teams
  • Attend workshops led by experienced mentors
  • Compete for prizes and recognition
4. Do I need prior coding experience?
No! KTHack welcomes both beginners and experienced coders. We will have beginner-friendly workshops and mentors available to guide participants.
